Easter Rock Camp 2024 is now fully booked!

We are pleased to be running 2 days of Rock camp on the 2nd and 3rd of April here at Kirklees Guitar School studio in Denby Dale!
The sessions run from 9am - 3pm on both days and are jam packed with creative and engaging activities with a rock and roll theme aimed at 8 - 12 year olds.
With only 6 places on each day it's set to be loud and lots of fun!.
Participants are to bring a packed lunch but extra snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
Songwriting Masterclass
We are going to host a songwriting masterclass. Splitting the group up into teams and get them to write their own songs encourages team work and works as a great icebreaker.
Activities & Games
I have a plethora of music themed games and activities I can draw on.
One of my favorites is my version of music chairs. The premise is the same as the one everyone else has played before but it's set in the band room and everyone has to swap instruments, It's hilarious!
Recording Session
We are going to record what the songwriting session yields for the participants to take home to show friends and family!
Quiz With Prizes
A fun and interactive quiz has been planned for each day. The group will be split into teams and prizes will be handed out to the winning team!
Band Practice
Each day has a band element playing their favourite rock songs in the schools live room

Who Is Hosting The Sessions?
James Kuhnel - Studio Manager & Head Tutor at Kirklees Guitar School
James will be hosting the sessions this half term.
With 20 years of playing experience and 10 years working professionally as a musician James brings skills learned out in the industry to what we do at Kirklees Guitar School
James is a graduate of the British Institute Of Modern Music and holds an enhanced DBS check.
